Wedding Guide

Let's personalize your wedding journey! Remember, not every tip fits every couple. Chat it out with your partner to pick what feels right for both of you. And hey, if you need a friendly guide through all this, I'm just a call away! 📞

  • A wedding with no electricity is not only a good chance for your guests to put their gadgets away and pay attention to the event, but it also makes it easier for me to take clear images of you and the rest of the ceremony.

You can let the celebrant know about the situation so they can remind the attendees before the ceremony begins. And tell them not to worry - I’m on the job of capturing some great images. :)

  • Hold the kiss for a few moments so it’s captured on photo/video (plus it’s way more romantic). Stop and kiss halfway down the aisle.

Ask your officiant to step away when they announce you as husband and wife (Before the kiss happens), so your photos and videos are just you two.

Have you officiant signal everyone to stand when you process out.

  • One thing that’s absolutely necessary for this part of the day is that everyone knows it’s happening, everyone’s onboard, and there’s someone (Wedding Planner? Sibling? best friend?) who knows who everyone is and can help me heard everyone in the right direction at the right time.

Before the wedding, let’s make a list of every configuration we’ll need to photograph so we can fly through these and get everyone back to celebrating as quickly as possible.

  • Timing: While it depends on your wedding schedule, we recommend a quick photoshoot during the “golden hour” the brief 45 minutes after sunrise and before sunset.

Why? To capture flattering facial features and a romantic atmosphere, a soft “diffused” lighting is essential. This is paired with the warm glow to give a dreamy aesthetic to photos/footage, hence the term “golden hour”.

  • The more I am aware of the venue's layout and the type of lighting that will be employed, the better equipped I will be to make sure that everything works out for stunning photos. Please feel free to send me some images to show the venue's layout, your seating area, etc. A few basic phone pics is all I need :)
